Baby Birthday Party

This was the Sunday brunch birthday party we hosted at our house for all our baby friends. I think there were probably about 12 babies in the house all running around and checking out our toy collection! The grass was wet, but we all eventually ended up in the back yard running around the lawn. It was a sweet party....relaxing and fun! Junie was exhausted and immediately took a two hour nap after the last guest left! What a great birthday!

First Birthday Cake!

 For Juniper's first birthday, she celebrated with her other baby friends, Jack and Lorea, who were born one week after and three weeks before her, respectively. We all met in the staff room at the school where teachers could stop in and watch the babies eat cake! The cake is a banana, applesauce, spelt flour combination and has no white sugar or flour in it. the frosting is made from whip cream and applesauce. It was actually quite delicious! The big eater that she is, Juniper dove right in and put her two baby buddies to shame. It was so much fun to share the day with so many loving friends! Juniper had a blast! After a few exploratory pokes at the top, she seemed unhappy about getting frosting on her fingers, and looked frustrated like she might cry or wanted out of the chair. I gave her a bit of help, and we flipped the cake over to get t the bottom. Then, Juniper slowly picked a hole right down through the center, boring it into two pieces as she nibbled her way through....after that it was no hesitation as big pieces started getting shoved in. Jack and Lorea, on the other hand, kept themselves nice and clean as they took dainty little bites. Jack probably did the best job smearing frosting all over his face though!! We will be at his birthday party next week!

Easter

For Easter, Juniper got some spinning tops and an outdoor baby swing from the Easter Bunny.

We are so excited to finally have some yard space to play in! 

Now we just need warm dry weather to go with it. Slowly, slowly...Spring comes in!

  This truck was a hand-me-down gift from a parent of one of my students. It makes lots of noises! There are working signal lights and everything. Juniperlikes sitting on it and riding around the living room!
