Married

Ted and I were married at 4pm on 11/21/11 in Baden, Switzerland. We had the ceremony in a little church across the street from my school. The speaking was all in German and translated by our friend Monika. It was sweet and memorable, and the official giving the ceremony tailored her talk to us, dialoguing about how two people can travel all over the world and encounter each other seemingly by chance in the midst of personal adventures. She said it was so exciting to see us making the commitment to now create those adventures together. She also said, "Switzerland is a cold country and its people can be cold people. But do not let that deter you, I sincerely hope you enjoy your time in Switzerland, that you stay here and that you make close ties and friendships amongst the Swiss." Ha ha! Memorable.

Our wedding party then went out to a local Chinese restaurant, called the "Smiling Fish". It was delicious cuisine and great celebratory company!
